Business and Project Development Manager, New Business

As part of realising this mission, Enersense have recently established a separate New Business unit within its Power division to identify, investigate and actively develop new business opportunities especially within the energy sector.
We are now looking for a talented and future-oriented Business and Project Development Manager to join our compact and effective New Business team in Helsinki.
In this role, you will have a central role in developing and analysing new business opportunities as well as driving the best ones forward in practice. Your work will also involve active dialogue with various external stakeholders as well as working in close collaboration with our other Business Units, BU leaders and, at times, the top management.
Initially, your main focus would likely be in energy markets, energy storage, green/clean hydrogen and EV Charging Solutions. As we like to be agile, further areas of interest may pop up anytime. You should be ready for occasional travel mainly within Finland.
Your role and responsibilities:
Identifying new business opportunities with a focus on energy
Building, analysing and developing new business concepts, in collaboration with different internal and external stakeholders
Driving selected business cases and concepts forward with independent, efficient and diligent execution, including project management of possible new business projects
Proactive engagement and management of relevant external stakeholders including potential partners, suppliers, service providers, customers and financing parties
Leading and/or supporting relevant negotiation processes
Supporting the preparation of investment decisions and participating due diligence processes
To be successful in this role, you should have:
Relevant academic degree such as a Master's degree in Energy, Technology or similar, and at least five years of working experience in the energy sector/consulting
Good understanding of the energy sector and Nordic power markets including reserve markets
Experience from at least some of the following activities, preferably relating to energy: business development, concept development, business model building and analysis, feasibility analysis, valuations. Previous project development experience in relevant areas is seen as an advantage
Sufficient technical competence to be able to work with different technical concepts and discuss detailed topics with different stakeholders
Ability to manage various projects and tasks in parallel and work with tight timelines in fast-paced business
Excellent communication, influencing and presentation skills
Excellent conceptual thinking skills, attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
Entrepreneurial attitudewith skills to develop new solutions
Positive, solution-orientedmindset and proactive way of working
Excellent command of spoken and written Finnish and English. Swedish fluency is a plus.
